I was sleeved.  I had a pretty rough start  .After I figured out I was whey intolerant and stopped worrying about every little ache and pain, I have been doing great.  So happy with my decision to have the surgery.  The support of family, friends and the OH forum has been phenomenal!!!  I down three pants sizes and went from a 3X to XL (some larges fit) in tops .  I've lost 44ounds from my surgery weight  and 68 pounds from my highest weight.  And, no more blood pressure meds!!!! Blessed and Thankful!!! I am a little annoyed that my insurance company has NOW decided to start a pilot program for WLS...lol Oh, well... My time is now!!!  Happy that Health Choice made the committment to help others...finally!!! (even if it wasn't me) My pic is in my profile if you want to take a look:)   Lesa

I hope you don't mind me asking you but can you tell me how long it took you to loose the weight you have.  I have so much weight to loose but I am getting frustrated.  I have lost 72 lbs but  I have a ways to go.  I had my surgery in Mar of this year but I have been hospitalized twice for differnt things that had nothing to do with surgery.  The last time I was in hospital  I was put on Predisone.   Ever since then my weight just doesn't seem like it is coming off.  Can you please tell me what you are doing because like I said I have so much more weight to loose

Thank You
Sharon

My profile has all of the details as far as monthly and weekly weight loss numbers. I hit 100 lost around 6 months, BUT everyone is different. You can see my surgery date and details under my photo to the left. If you click my username you'll be taken to my public profile. Then scroll ALL the way down and you'll see the #s. BUT again, don't compare, especially because you've had some other issues. We're all different and we all lose a different rates, plus I started at 375.

I typically eat 800 calories per day (I do eat back most of my exercise calories), under 40 carbs and I track EVERYTHING at MyFitnessPal.com - EVERYTHING - even the bad stuff. I own it. Feel free to read my blog at my profile as well.

Congrats to you! I can see such a difference from one picture to the next! Sorry about your insurance...perhaps you were one of the pioneers, and that helped them decide to go ahead with the pilot program. It's good karma, and it will come back to you
