I am thrilled to see so many people participating in setting non-scale related goals! So let's see how everyone is doing.

I have done 1/3 days of cross training. It's Thursday so I better step it up. I have two more to go.

My 2nd goal was to stop eating when I was full - I decided it was easier to take less food to begin with - so that worked out well. Ive been more aware of portion sizes and those have decreased this week.

I got organized...need to stay that way. My office is a mess - UGHH. Today's goal is to clean my desk off :)

2nd part - I'm interested in . What keeps you from meeting your goals? What's the biggest obstacle right now?

Goal: Organize my office so little tasks don't become big deals because I waste time searching for what I need.

Biggest Obstacle: Procrastination. When I'm interested in something, I'm all over it. But if I view something as a chore, including aspects of my job, I procrastinate like crazy. Now that I no longer abuse food, I see how food facilitated my procrastination, which made me see how procrastination itself is a form of not living in the present. So, I guess my biggest obstacle is actually my inclination to not want to be where I really am, which caused the fat me to construct a life that doesn't always work for my thin self. My thin self is doing a major rebuild.

I haven't been able to swim due to a restriction.  I have been cleared, so I will go to Master's Swim on Saturday!

New goal - get more sleep.  I need to start going to bed before midnight and closer to 11pm.

What has kept me from reaching my goal is a total life reorganizing. Divorce announced 7/30, life completely turned up side down.  Moved out of the house 9/1 to an apartment in a new town. No friends to hang with yet. She just keeps twisting the knife(new guy, just going on like nothing happened, claims to love him already she is being a shallow B&*%ch) so stressed out a lot but getting better.  Find my self grazing just for comfort, but becomes uncomfortable.

Am turning this around. Found a new church, a divorce support group, a councelor, joining the local Fire Dept. Trying to stay active, joined a gym, but need to go more. Have leveled out at current weight for 2 months. Am trying to be more cognizant of food and make better choices. Hopefully life restarts better then before. The pesky 13 to 15 pounds need to go.

I am recovering but what a slow process. Time will be my friend for now. Will lose the weight and get back on track. She bent me but she will never break me!!!

Sorry for the rant but thats my story, glad everyone else is doing well.

Remember  it's bariactric surgery, not brain surgery! You need to get your head in the game!!!!

Well I won't be able to complete my one and only goal, but not because I didn't try. As you read on MFP, I had to call my run off this morning about half a mile into it. I might give it another go round tonight when the hubs gets home, but I am not holding my breath that he will be OK with that, he has gotten spoiled with me being able to workout while the kids are at school.

I had to go look up what they were. Even tho I was doing 2 out of 3 lol.

1. Get higher end of protein and all my water. I have made it every day this week. Yay me!
2. Breathe more and not stress so much on my busy life. I am trying, really I am. I have scheduled more down time with friends this week than I normally allow myself.
3. Yoga - 0/3 times this week. By scheduling more fun time - I am scheduling out work time. I will find a balance.

Can't wait to see my friends this Saturday!! Yay coffee!!

I've gotten 2 of my 3 C25K runs completed, so all good there. Also walking daily with hubby after work, and spent the day at the zoo walking yesterday. Getting exercise is definitely happening.

Upping my water, not so much. I'm drinking it all day, but only hitting 8-9 cups daily. Part of it is that I hate water post-surgery, and artificial sweeteners gross me out. I just have to suck it up and deal, though, until I get through weight loss phase.

As for practicing deep breathing when stressed, also so-so so far. I'll keep working on it.

Goal Statuses:
1: Get in more exercise, to the gym 3 days:
I've gone to the gym twice. Once it was for freestyle laps only, once included laps, elliptical and strength training. I also went to my first Jazzercise class outside the gym. So all's good in this department. One more trip to the gym and I'll hit it. Going to swim there and do some strength training Saturday.

2: Don't let a certain someone get to me: Eh. Working on this. He still upsets me, but trying to understand his criticisms say more about him than me. I haven't hit this goal, but moving towards it.

3: Take 15 minutes a day to be alone and do nothing: Not quite every day, but I've done this more this week than in years. So I'll call this goal met.

What gets in the way of meeting my goals? Me. I play games in my own head, justifying to myself why I haven't attained certain things. I did well this week and it's because I stopped playing mind games with myself and started getting real.
