L: 2 oz egg white salad (Thanks Alison!!), Thin Krisps Parm Lemon Pepper, 6 green seedless grapes (I probably won't eat it all - so will snack later)
S: rest of lunch
D: PB2 - 1 Tbsp; Laughing Cow cheese wedge; 1/2 protein bar.

Copius amount of coffee and water alllll day!
Vitamins: need calcium later and iron mid day - otherwise all good.
Exercise: going to walk puppies when I get home.

Just so everyone knows: I am totally jealous of Shagdoll's lunch.  I think I will have to stop by Miss Bobbies tomorrow.  lol
Should I be staggering how I take my vitamins?  No one ever mentioned that to me, just curious. I take two mult kids gummy vits, b-12 sub lingual, and gentle iron capsule.

Iron needs to be taken separate from calcium, so if your multi has calcium, wait on the iron by at least 2 hours.  Your doc doesn't have you on calcium supplements?

No, they don't and I put myself on the b12 because I have been deficient in the past they said nothing of it.  ;(

I was told to always separate my iron from my calcium as calcium is supposed to inhibit the iron absorption.  So I just do.  :)   I need my iron supplement - I have been iron deficient anemic for longer than I can remember.

I was also told and did lots of research that partial gastrectomies need to supplement their calucim in 1000 to 1500 mg and that it should only be taken is 500 doses at a time.

Thank you Ms Shell. I am going to ask the NUT and doc about this tomorrow. If they don't agree I may just go for it on my own unless they have a good reason as to why I shouldn't.  Women already have calcium deficiency issues for so many reasons, I sure don't want to add to the problem.

Oh and it should be calcium citrate (for better absoprtion in our stomachs)!!

Do a few google searches I'm sure you'll find some stuff to read and educate yourself as well as your doctors.

I was originally told to take calcium by the NUT but then 1 week after my surgery my blood tests showed I did not need it.  My Barriatric Dr. told me I could stop taking it and the surgeon concurred.  I had another test 3 months out and just again last week... The adjusted the D and B but told me to no need for calcium.  I think I get alot in protein shakes? or something.

I wasn't told either BUT I did extensive research away from WLS since the "VSG" was so "new."  Partial and full gastrectomies have been done for decades and a common denomenator was osteopania (sp) so keep on those labs =)
