Foamies, Slimies? Huh?
I'm 6 mos out and have had them at least 6 or 7 times. I guess I just can't learn. LOL! Anyway the last few times was when I was out to dinner. I was w/ friends and talking and not paying attention to how fast I was eating and or just ate a bit too much since I couldn't weigh my food. It hasn't happened at home in a long time . It sucks but it does pass after a while (usually after a good burp).
What rheabob says.
I had a bout with this last week-- had both foamies and slimies-- not fun. I figured out I wasn****ching how fast I was eating. Normally it takes about 20 minutes to finish a meal-- if I go faster than that I'm at risk of getting my a** handed to me.
I also notice this happens with some foods and not others. I am learning to be more mindful when I eat.

I am hoping never to get it, my sister got her first one last night she is a month out but had RYN, she ate too much chicken or it was too dry not sure which one, but she said it was discusting and lasted for about an hour and she finally threw up and she then felt somewhat better. she siad it pretty much wiped her out for the night ,,,, you will know it if you get it
It literally just happened to me... I ate a hard boiled egg like I never had surgery.. First time for this and let me tell you it isn't fun. Rather unpleasant and I hope it subsides soon... I knew as soon as I finished the egg I was in trouble... chest started hurted and the mouth water commenced.. Then the foamies/slimies came on.. it is yucky and a lesson learned...

Luckily, knock on wood, have never experienced foamies/slimies. I have however, eaten too fast/too much where I am INCREDIBLY uncomfortable and wish I could throw up. I have to consciously SLOW DOWN because I tend to eat too fast or too much if I'm not paying attention.

Knocking on wood.
At 15 months out I've never had it.
I drink up until I eat and it never takes me 30 mins to eat. I never overheat though.
The closest I've come is when I ate a piece of a pork chop that was a bit tough and I had this in controllable belching for like 15 mins.
