I have been told by many people not to weigh everyday but I just could not leave well enough alone.  Two days ago was at 198.6, yesterday 199.0 and today back to 200!!!

I think it was the hummus and Special K chips that I had for snack.  Just was so hungry yesterday.

Will up the water and watch everything that goes in my mouth today.  Not the best way to start this day!!

I am of the mindset that it is perfectly OK to weigh everyday. HOWEVER, the only day that I "count" is Friday morning. If I am up or unchanged Friday to Friday, then I begin to analyze what I might be doing wrong.

I do the same as the above poster. I weigh every morning and only record my Monday morning weigh ins. I'm still early out and losing weight almost every day (granted it might be .2 pounds) so I find it very motivating. Once the weight loss slows down or I hit a stall, I'll rethink my philosophy.

Also keep in mind that when your body converts fat for energy consumption, it is going to retain water. My doc's office told me for every pound of fat converted there will be 4 pounds of water retained, so don't sweat the number too much. I weigh every day too...I can't help myself, but I do it to keep track of how my body loses and gains. I see definite trends in my loss/gain track so I know when I'm converting fat and when I'm just eating more carbs/salt than I should.

Only you know what you truly ate, but unless you consumed an extra 3500 calories both days, your gain is nothing more than water.

Cheers!!
