I have been thinking about getting the fitbit. The other night I went into the Apple store. I was looking at getting a new ipod. Then I noticed "NikeID" It is an app that works with your ipod and tracks your steps (like a pedometer) your distance, your speed, etc. It works along with NikeID running shoes. You put this little device in your shoe. There is a little cut out in the insole to fit the little device. It transmits the info to your ipod. I am so excited!!! But I am curious to see if others use it and how you like it.

I use this and love it.  I prefer Ascis shoes so I wrap the little chip up with press-n-seal and weave it through my laces.  It tells you your distance and pace anytime during your walk/run, and keeps track of your stats on the Nike site.  I also have a FitBit and like that a lot too.  That keeps track of your activity all day (Nike+ is more for individual walks/runs).  My sisters both have the FitBit too so we have a little competition going.  Of course I'm in last place because I just had surgery :)  I like the food log on the FitBit site too.  Both are good gadgets for keeping motivated.
