Fast Food??

I'm still pre-op, but I hear if you HAVE to eat fast food, Wendy's Chili is a good choice.

Personally I DON'T! Even before my surgery I never went to the fast food places. It is too much temptation to say Fried chicken sandwich vs grilled chicken. Plus all the the health reports on whats in all that processed foods really freaked me out. Bleached chicken? Hamburgers soaked in ammonia to kill ecoli? Yuck! I just avoid them now, they have nothing I can eat or drink. So I just try to keep a little snack size zippered baggie with scoop of protein powder and a protein bar in my purse.
Um, I hope you are not planning to dive back into fast food this early out. It is just not healthy ... for us or for anyone. Please forgive me for being blunt, but I got back into fast food (and other crap) at about a year and a half out, and it took me another couple of years to get back off the 30+ pounds I packed back on.
That said, if you have a rare occasion when you HAVE to eat fast food, Wendy's chili is a decent option. At four years out, I can still only eat half a small chili. And if and when you get where you can tolerate a little salad, several FF places have decent ones. I eat just a little of the lettuce so I don't fill up on that, and then eat a few bites of the protein. I can never come anywhere close to finishing one, but I just take it home.
Please be very cautious with fast food. The sodium and additives are just not good options for eating regularly. Take good care of your sleeve, and follow your surgeon's dietary guidelines to a tee for at least the first year. You will not be sorry!
Best wishes on your journey :-)

Fast food is no different than any restaurant - look at the menu, look at the nutritional info, and choose only what you can fit into your plan.
For me, virtually no fast food fit into that plan - including the much vaunted Wendy's. The only places I could eat are places that offered grilled chicken in some form - like Chipotle.
I have more options now that I am in maintenance. The grilled chicken lettuce wrap at either red robin or Subway works.
If theres some place you want to eat, or you know you are going to be in a situation that may require eating at a fast food restaurant, go ahead and do your research and find what you can eat.

I have to rely on fast food a few times during the week because I'm on the road so much. I rely on Wendy's chili...I can eat 1/2 of a small. My favorite is Chick-fil-a GRILLED chicken nuggets. I can do 4, which is about 2 ounces.
