Weekly Challenge - mid-week check in
This week has been....mediocre at best goal wise.
After setting a goal to stay off the scale until Friday, I only made it two days. The number doesnt bother me (even though its all over the place) but I am irritated with myself that I can't stay away. Oh well. Thought that counts?
My goal to complete this weeks 1/2 marathon training schedule - missed my run this morning, but I intend on getting it done, one way or another.
Shifting my focus mid-week though since Goal #1 was a bust....I plan on setting some daily goals from now until Sunday to deal with some other issues. Sometimes when things are just not going great, I have to just take it one hour and one day at a time.

My goals are about half and half this week. The two exercise goals have been going well, I'm on track to meet both.
Preparing for staying at my in-laws is an emotional battle. I finally convinced hubs to only spend 2 days instead of 3 there though, so that should help. I think I also need to let him know I won't be eating anything his mom cooks. She's an amazing cook, but she marinates steak and chicken in sugar!! My guess is we'll be going out to eat most of the weekend, which is actually much easier and healthier for me than eating what's at their house.
I'm still totally bitter at work. I'm working on it though, I'm taking a couple days off next week so that should help. I have a meeting today with our team, so I guess we'll see if I can at least put on a good (if fake) face, lol.
Who invented scales???? ARRRRGGGGGGG
Goal 1 -- have added at least 15 minutes to workouts so far -- let's see what tomorrow brings.
Goal 2 -- total flop -- not sure I can take in some of these things and been too lazy to really try :-(
Goal 3 -- doing well with adding new herbs and spices to foods -- I love my kitchen!
Goal 4 -- think I better give up about getting taller -- not gonna grow at my age. Will have to
depend on the "kindness of strangers" to reach the knobs and control on some of
the machines my fitness center.

I feel everyone's pain. I just can't stay off that freakin' scale!!
Goal 1: Exercise 3 x for 30 minutes- Have completed the 30 minute Walk Away the Pounds 2 mile video twice this week. Just one more to go.
Goal 2: Get in at least 64 oz. in. Hit it on the nose yesterday, but hey, at least I hit it.
1. I will change up the exercise by doing 30 min on my elliptical or efx I actually did this yesterday and I didn't die so I will keep it up.
2. I also have a scale problem so I will stay off my scale till Friday except when I go in the morning to my pcp I have to get on her scale lol.
3. I will come up with some new things to eat this week my diet is getting blah.
I didn't do too bad I skipped the elliptical the last two days and just did my 40 min of walking because I was being a baby and my calves were hurting so wish I would of done better and just pushed through, I did good with the scale thing but I did have to weigh at the doc's so that was kinda like cheating lol. I did good with finding new things to cook found some good high protein recipes on here and on pinterest.
I also wanted to say that I totally have had days where I have had to completely take it one day, hour even min at a time. Hang in there.
1. I stay AWAY from those damn cookies and brought them to work. And by lunch time there was still 2 in the container so I tossed it in the trash!!
2. Haven't been emotional eating 1/2 and 1/2 (I consider boredom and emotion too)
3. Today I do my 3.5 miles after work (like I did on Tuesday)
4. Today I do my 3.5 miles listening to my C25K (like I did on Tuesday)
5. Not a total BUST, but "only" 5,000 steps. To much to do at work to get up and walk around.
