Weekly Challenge - mid week check in

My goal was to get to the pool at least twice and so far, no go. This week has just been crazy. I'm taking tomorrow off, however, and plan to get to the pool in the a.m. before my day takes off.

I had two goals this week:

1. get through week 3 of my race training. I was very proud of myself because I went out of town and I still used the hotel gym (crappiest quality treadmill EVER!!) and did my running. I did NOT want to do it but I finished the whole thing and felt amazing!

2. Make better choices when going out. For some reason I felt like since I only get out to eat a couple times a month it's okay to order loaded fries with my meal because I only eat 3 or 4 and it is a treat. Well, after reading some posts recently about being honest with yourself I realized that making this a habit I am setting myself up for a regain when my tummy fits more. I decided to stop and I ordered steamed veggies with my meal when going out this week. I have never ordered veggies with a meal in my LIFE. funny enough-didn't miss the fries!

Now I'm working on eliminating the snacking during the day when I'm bored!
