Pain in my neck!!
VSG on 06/28/12
Hi Teresa
I didn't get any pain in my neck from the gas. I did get some in my left shoulder, but once I walked around, it eased up. My vote would be for having to be on your back for 3 days if that's not your usual sleep position. If you continue to have this pain after being able to sleep a bit on your side, I'd suggest you call your doctor.
Even if it seems to be from a different sleeping position, walking might help anyway -- that gas affects people in so many ways and it could be camouflaged as neck pain..
Good Luck.............and keep us posted on how you're doing.

I had a pinched nerve in my neck for about 35 hours after surgery along with horrible gas pains traveling up my upper body.. it was extremely hard to sleep or get comfortable while in the hospital. Walking helped with gas and the pinched nerve lessened with pain meds and time... I assume it happened while on the table (the pinched nerve)
