The trick with protein coffee is making sure you have the protein powder well and truly dissolved before you pour the hot coffee in.  So, take your protein powder of choice, add a little cool/cold water or milk or whatever you want to dissolve it in, and stir, stir, stir until it's absolutely smooth and will pour like cream.  Then you pour it in your coffee.  That's it!

Hi pudgy pants, are you taking to me? I wasn't sure since someone else replied.  I can mix 1/2 scoop of nectar cappuccino protein powder into my iced coffee & it blends just fine.  You might not even need creamer or milk since its a latte flavor.  ;-)

Hi Shagdoll....yep, I was asking you! Silly question, but do you blend it with anything first or do you just scoop it straight in? Then, do you need sweetener? Do you take the powder to the Bucks with ya? Will they mix it in for ya? Sorry about all the questions, I just have noticed you are a coffee addict like me

PS: I read your posts all the time!! Thanks for posting so much...it helps us folks preparing for surgery. I am really trying to make all the changes now so that it's not so shocking post-op.

I usually brew my coffee the night before & then take it to work.  I pour the coffee in my Starbucks tumbler then add my pre measured Nectar Cappuccino protein powder & Splenda.  The nectar brand protein blends just fine in cold coffee stirring with a spoon.   Then I add either almond milk or nonfat milk to it.  The cappuccino protein is creamy tasting enough since its a latte flavor.  I was thinking of maybe trying it without milk since I might not need it.  I tend to make my coffee strong since the protein weakens the coffee a bit.  It's pretty good though!
