FINALLY!!!
As some of you know, I have been battling my insurance now for the last month. They have approved other patients with my same plan with the same documents from the same surgeon. Mine however they wanted to push the limits. Seeing that I was not giving up... I am APPROVED!!!
Well actually, unofficially. They have to still type up the letter. But needless to say, I got it!
I immediately called the surgeon's office to tell them the good news and we are tentatively scheduled for September 4th. That is exactly what I wanted. One it is a Tuesday and better yet, right after the holiday.

I have BCBS of IL. At first they couldn't find a document (round 1), then they found it, but didn't like it (round 2), then they got a new document from the surgeon and they didn't like that (round 3), so a letter that was signed by the surgeon was sent and finally approved (round 4).
The frustrating part was my doc office said they had 4 other patients with my same insurance that were approved with the original documentation.
