"Where are they now" ... 4 year 8 month VSGer
My life is literally an open book. In terms of "newly" post op my restriction has about doubled. When I eat food I can comfortably eat say 4-6oz meat and 4-6oz vegetable, which is when I'm "good." Bad foods like chips and salsa and cookies and donuts and to some degree even a rotissere chicken I can eat with ABANDOM.
Not to mention the art of eating around your tool. Eat till full, wait say an hour, eat a little more, etc etc. I am almost NEVER physically hungry but I WANT to eat, so I have...

The bottom line Ms. Shell, is that I love you. I always have and I always will. I have tremendous respect for you as a human being, the weight comes and the weight goes; your generous helping of wisdom and whoop-ass is priceless and rare. I am glad we get to go through this journey together.
I know you know what to do and don't need any advice from me, but I am here to offer you my support and my friendship and whatever else you need to make this work better for you.

Thankyou Ms. Shell!
As a pre op I am glad to hear some of the cold hard truth and to know that some do struggle after surgery. I keep reading this is just another tool, not a cure, but most people seem to have only good things to say. It makes you think it is a cure. I have struggled with many of the things you listed and some others of my own, its good for me to go into this with the reminder that I still have to work hard at it everyday, not only in my eating plan but the "callings" in my head.
Please keep us posted on your progress down this next path for you. You are an inspiration.

I've always thought recognizing our shortcomings is the biggest hurdle. You know what you need to do, so DO IT!
Also, I think you need to get back on here and start posting in the "what'cha eatin' today posts" I sure miss you and all that you contribute here!!
