How Often Do You Eat?

Breakfast is between 8&9, snack (only if I'm up extra early or work out in the morning) at 10-11-ish, lunch around 12-1, snack at about 3:30-4,, supper at about 6:30-7 and evening snack at around 10.
My surgeon says to eat 5-6 very small meals a day and it works out just about right for me. I do make a point of having a high protein breakfast so that I have more flexibility later in the day.
A scoop of my preferred protein powder blended into 8 oz of low fat milk gives me a great start with 38 grams of protein. Snack today was a cup of fresh blueberries. Lunch was 2 leftover baby potatoes topped with an ounce of sharp cheddar and nuked. Afternoon snack was 5 cherries. Supper will be 2-3 ounces of baked tilapia with 2-3 small pieces of steamed broccoli. My evening snack will be half a Quest bar.
I probably eat more fruits and veg than some, but once I have my protein (my surgeon says at least 70 grams, I aim for 80) I aim for quality in both nutrients and fibre. The spuds? They have more potassium than bananas and go well with cheese.
Something I've learned over the past while is to stop what I'm doing and pay attention to what I'm eating, really taste it, and pay attention to Fred. He tells me with a little bubbly feeling that he's had as much as he wants. Whatever's left either becomes the beginning of another meal, is a snack for my dog or goes in the trash.

Hi Kelly-Anne!
Don't knock cheese covered bananas! LOL NO, I'd never even try that, but I got this instant visual of you running a banana in the microwave with a few slivers of cheese on top. Don't mind me...........my mind is going!
And in the background, Fred is screaming obscenities at you!

Hi Ree!
I can't eat a whole banana anyway, and the other half looks so pitiful on the counter. I do think about buying fingerling bananas sometimes though. So cute and just Fred sized.
Now that I'm learning his code for "enough" I'm finding this much easier. I'd hear about people's noses running or them hiccuping and nada. Fred's special code is a small bubbling feeling. Easy to miss if I'm not paying attention, but easy to recognise if I am.
Have you discovered the joys of Quest bars yet? I had to order them in, but oh my! 1/2 a bar is a "Fred-ful" and has 10 grams of protein and 8-10 grams of fibre. I'm in love.

Hi Stephanie, at the beginning I ate every meal time as wasn't hungry whatsoever, however now I do get hungry so have snacks inbetween.
I find if I'm eating say cheese rather than dense protien I will get hungrier quicker, also a tip.
A veteran a while bck said she cooks a bit extra meat in the morning and uses it as snacks if she gets hungry, I also do this by cooking extra chicken and helps at night when I have cravings keeps me on track
