Weekly Challenge - setting goals

I think it's better to have one or two well thought out goals/plans for the short term - and these are good ones. I am a planned grazer - i'll never be a 3 meals kind of person. I am actually getting a little better the last couple weeks and have cut out my mid morning snack because I realized i didnt need it, so now I only eat a snack if I have a light breakfast or im intentionally trying to get more calories in for my daily plan :)

I started drinking tons of water to deal with my urges to eat but now im drinking too much ! I think i'm gonna switch to solitaire. Can we link up online and play together!?

Unfortunately, I don't think a planned snack is the same as grazing. I am good with my planned snacks. An example of grazing is just 30 minutes after eating, instead of drinking water, I eat something else. Between meals, I may eat 2-3 times instead of one planned snack. I guess I could take my one planned snack and split it up into 3 parts- just in case I get the urge to stick something in my mouth.  Chewing gum makes me hungry. I ocassionally, especially in meetings, suck on a lifesaver.

Hmmm ok here I do

Mon-Fri
1.  Go to the gym M = 3.1mi, W = 3.1mi, F = 2 hours
2.  Pack my lunch for the week = Salads & Salmon
3.  Prepare my mind for the weekends which are my hardest times

When I check in on Thursday I will have a Sat & Sun plan

Its good to just get through most of the week and then figure out a plan for the weekend. You can do this!

Sounds like you are gearing up for 1/2 training :)

This is a really good idea Alison...You rock.Overall i try not to look at the big picture because if i look at the fact that i have to lose over 200pds that can become very overwhelming. So i've been setting monthly goals.Which i'm doing ok at hitting but i can always do better I'm four months post op and doing ok but i can always do better like i said.So my challenge to myself for this upcoming month is as follows
- Drink 8 glass of water
-Work out three days a week
-Walk up the strairs without stopping,I live on the third floor of a walk up...So far i've done it twice
Continue to log my food in MFP

I'm on a Everchanging journey.

Thanks Allison, this really helps. It brings home to me how much my disorganization and lack of planning sabotages more than one area of my life.
Right now my Post surgery goal is to : 1. Log Log Log
: 2. Sip Constantly
: 3. Create meals for next stage
