A week full of goals accomplished
Its so funny I was expecting the same thing - like the Bob Newhart show!
My first session was just gettingto know you kind of stuff. The one in two weeks should be where we start with the rubber meeting the road.
To kind of start getting myself in that place I started journaling a bunch of stuff like the first time I was aware of gaining weight, the first time I was ever called fat, When I realized I was different than the other kids etc.
Don't know how relevant it all is - but As an enginner starting at the beginning seems logical.

You are so inspiring, I always love reading your posts. The coffee one really spoke to me. I eat a paleo diet, have for about 6 mo now. My goal has been to do one of these "whole30" challenges, I know it would be easy for me with the one big exception, my coffee. Every morning I drink my coffee mixed with my choc protein shake. The shakes are not on the whole 30. So I have decided to start drinking my coffee black, but every morning I say I will do it tomorrow. After reading your post, I'm going to really start tomorrow, by the end of 30 days I'm sure I will be a die hard black coffee drinker! Love my Starbucks, but black from here on out! I buy the beans at Costco and grind and brew myself. Anyhow, good luck, keep posting, I'm enjoying your posts! Take care, Anne
Way to go Alison!!!

I ditto on what every other person has said acb...I always love your thoughtful posts and inspirational stategies. I think I have succumed to the milk/cream devil. Like you, I love coffee, and I like it with cream. For the past 4 months I have been trying to count it in with my other calories., thinking I could make it work. But, no. I always seem to go over due to milk or cream in my carbs and calories, and I feel it has really set me back. There is just nothing like the taste of milk or cream in one's coffee, and I've tried a lot of different things. If you use cream your carbs are low, but calories are high; if you use milk, calories are lower but carbs are high...AAAARRRGG!
I guess retraining the old taste buds are the only answer and I thank you for your post.
It is awsome that you went to therapy, boy would I love to. Thanks for sharing, you really do help others.

Hey Alison, you may have to lay low for a while after going public with this Starbucks boycott. J/K I'm proud of you first for making such a challenge and second, for achieving the goal you set for yourself. However, I'm relieved to know that when we all get together, we still can do a Starbucks run. See you soon my friend.
