Blender Recommendations? I need a new one!

Okay -- I am probably the only person in a first world country that does not have a real blender.  As I am preparing for my future as a sleever, it is obvious my little $15.99 personal blender that will barely make a Medifast shake is probably not the best choice for a future that includes lots of shakes!  Plus, if I'm making a protein shake, hubby will probably want one, or begin to drink them more as well.

So, what does a really good job with pureeing the dickens out of everything -- well besides the bazillion dollar VitaMix?  Or what do you have that you'd tell me not to buy?  My fridge is older and dispenses "crushed" ice, but not really.  So I need something that will obliterate ice as well as meat/veggies.

Any recommendations?

I use my Magic Bullet every single day - several times a day. It eats ice cubes with no problem whatsoever. It is also nice and small.

Hi there,

I would recommend to get the brand Osterizer.  You can get a fairly good one for 20-25 dollars.  Don't spend too much even if you buy a 60.00 blender they don't make them like they used to and the base in the cup (bottom portion where the blade is at) usullay cracks.

Good luck,

Santos

We have the Ninja and the bullet and the Ninja sucks so bad compare to the bullet. Also the bullet now offers a blender size container. Yes it costs more, but you get what you pay for.

I have a big blender - not sure, but a good high quality one. Havent used it in a year.

I have bought a blender from GNC - it came with a base, and two 28oz cups to blend in. It is my favorite - very good at chopping ice.  I use this at home. I had one at work but it broke and I didnt want to spend another $30 yet haha.

For work, I use hamilton beach single serve size blender - it's $15 from target/walmart. It only has a one speed button, and its not the best for chopping ice or anything stronger, but its so cheap, practical, decent quality and convenient that ive bought several of them over the last two years (I replace it about every 3-4 months because the protein makes it smell and I cant stand it).

Just a warning for protein shakes though  - i couldnt handle to air from blended drinks for 4-5 months. I tried but it was too uncomfortable.
