or maybe Im the one that needed the warning

I went to GNC yesterday and besides being shocked at  the price ( $5.39 per 20 oz bottle) ...I almost got fooled by the nutritional label...

my NUT highly recommended these bcause I hate the creamy protein drinks/shakes....  its more juice like..  and 40g of protein per bottle...

Im adverse to artificial sweeteners and try to stick with just TRUVA/STEVIA....  the bottle says in big letters "no aspertame", so I thought win./win right??  nope....i look on the back & it contains sucralose....  ughhhhh

I pick up one of each flavor ( grape, fuit punch and raspberyy)...   then notice the fruit punch had 260 calories...  thats a LOT more than I want for a protein drink if Im going to try & stick with 600 calories a day....  but then I noticed the grape & raspberry were "only" 160 calories...  I have no idea why one flavor would have so many more calories than the other...

I bought one each of the grape & raspberry but havent tried them yet.....I hope the sucralose doesnt give me migraines as it has in the past....

It's affectionately called IsopuKe for a reason.

It reminds me of drinking thinned out snot. The whey protein "fibers" or chunks or stringy things make it so not yummy.

Freezing it seems to be an option some people use to help get it down. I couldn't do it.

Hence why I like isopure... I find stevia very bitter so only do sucralose.  But we all are different!   Also the bottle is 40g of protein.  That is like two of the chocolate shakes.  So calorie wise divided by two comes out better!  Yep reading labels is great as we all have different needs.  I love the apple melon!  So warning from me you might like them... The money is worth it for something I like!

There's proof that we're all different! I found the raspberry not too bad at all but the apple melon unbelievably disgusting. Lol

I haven't been able to find it up here, so have taste tested lots of different shakes and powders. My best of the premades is Pure Protein, which carries 21g protein and 100 calories for the vanilla and 23g protein and 110 calories for the chocolate. They don't have that funky proteiny aftertaste that most of them do.

Lots of people really, really love the Premiere shakes from Costco. I can't get past the half gelled texture and (to me) complete lack of flavour.

I love the Isopure zero carb. I have 8 flavors. 50 grams of protien for a serving ( that's 2 scoops) and 210 calories. I was told we can only digest 25 grams anyway. So split 4 times is pretty darn good for calories/ protein ratio, plus zero carb , zero sugar. If you like Isopure , I get mine online at the " VitaminShoppe". They are $41.00 for 3 pounds. Cheapest I've found. Also I make mine and if I have time I let it sit in the fridge, super cold and no grainy feeling.

I thought Isopure was the most disgusting thing I have ever drank in my life.  Seriously, almost puked after a couple swallows.. I use Unjury unflavored protein powder for 80 cal/ 0 carb/ 20 gm protein per serving.  I have that twice a day and the rest of my protein from food.
Good luck!

I used Isopure pre-op (about 3x) and had 2 the week after surgery. I found them at 7-11 for $3.99. I liked the Apple Melon best. They did give my tongue a slimy feeling after drinking them. And they are best really cold. But I haven't had any since.

I am just now experimenting so I've only tried the Isopure so far. I put it in my ninja pulse with almond milk and ice to make a chocolate smoothie (I tried the dutch chocolate first) and I really do like it. I plan to go back to Vitamin Shoppe (great prices) and get the vanilla to use as a base for carb free, fat free add ins, as well as some of the Syntax fruit flavored proteins. Luckily the sweeteners don't bother me. I hope you find something you like.
