I would strongly encourage you to pick it back up. It really is a great tool to help you tarck your steps and meet your fitness goals. Recent studies have shown that the use of s pedometer or fitness tracker can help you lose weight faster and keep it off. Its really an effortless way of measuring your activity and increasing your accountability.

I love my FitBit. Their online tool is a bit wonky and its calorie estimates are a bit on the high side, so I sync it to MyFitnessPal and use MFP's calorie estimates - which are much more conservative and closer to the results from my HRM. They have a portal that is free - thats all I use. You can pay a monthly subscription for FitBit Personal Trainer. I don't do that.
As far as tracking steps, stairs, etc - nothing could be easier. I love the wireless syncing with my computer, it makes tracking and measuring effortless. The battery lasts for weeks on a single charge,
Definitely invest in a fitbit! Easily worth the $100.

I have both the pedometer and the scale. I love the convenience. There is no cost for the uploaded data. I would definately buy both again. It is very easy to record online, because it just does it by itself wirelessly. You don't even have to think about it.
I never take the pedometer off, and I use the scale every day, but I try not to look at the number every time.
