Know anyone whose VSG was done by Dr. Kligman in Baltimore?
I have searched high and low on this board and on the verticalsleeve talk board for VSG'ers whose surgery was done by Dr. Kligman, and can find one woman whose only post appeared to be more than a year ago.
Anyone? He's done many, many RNYs and has rave reviews for them. I know he's a big advocate of RNY, but I am not such a big fan -- something you all understand!
I know experience with the VSG is paramount in choosing a surgeon, and his surgical rep is great, and the reviews of the program at University are great -- including access to him, his nurse, the nuts, everything. Other programs don't get such stellar reviews on everything.
Any advice here? I see that Dr. Signh is now at Northwest -- I may attend his seminar as well.
Thanks!

I don't have much advice to offer but my surgeon is Dr. Anne Lidor from Johns Hopkins Bayview Bariatric Center. I had my son via c-section at a Hopkins hospital and had a great experience. My friend use the same surgeon and has nothing but great things to say about her, she had the sleeve done 5 weeks ago. Johns Hopkins does gastric bypass, sleeve and lapband.

Kevin, what size sleeve do they do?
I liked Hopkins but wished I went w a smaller sleeve. I'm not having problems w maintaining but I do think smaller could be better long term. Hopkins uses a 40 Bougie.

I asked my surgeon but it wasn't an option to go smaller 40 is their standard.
I also have Gerd and I guess they felt it was safer to go w a slightly larger size.
For me I will always have to be very diligent about keeping my portions small.
