Pretty powerful stuff. Wow.

Your story has so many layers to it. Shows the amount of work you put into your journey everyday.

You never fail to impress me with your process and self reflection.

I think mentally processing through our cravings like you did is a very good and healthy way for making food decisions.

You had a plan and either way you would have been successful because it wasn't based on mindless eating.

Way to go!

Yes...im conquering "craving strategies" one at a time. Next up - stress + easy access and unplanned for treats (ok really just work donuts :-p)

Ive gotten much better to avoid mindless eating but now i just have to work on the crazy thoughts that replace the mindlessness of it all. I don't deserve junk, no matter how hard I worked.

So real, thank you for posting. Reminds me once a long time ago in a land far away.... I was craving movie popcorn, drove to the theater, bought a bucket & took it home! hehehe...what a waste!

Congratulations on fighting through a craving/obsession!! I went to the show yesterday and had to fight through my desire for movie theater popcorn. When faced with those things, I usually tell myself that it just isn't worth it. Most of the time it works, especially if I have just exercised. I swear, they must put something in that popcorn to make it smell sooo good.

Exercise is really the one thing that gets my head back on straight and makes me able to re-focus. Cause...there's no way im wasting a workout on junk. But if i sit at home...ehhhh, why not. Ive been trying to get msyelf to work out more in the mornings so I can start my day with that attitude, but i'm not doing to well in that department. 5:00am is just tooooo early.

Wow Allison - you really have your head on straight! I had a craving like that a couple of weeks for french fries, just stuck in my head, but I caved. This just shows how far you have come and you're almost there!

hmm.  Well, I handled that scenario totally different last sunday. I had been wanting popcorn for weeks. I went to the movies Sunday. I didn't get any because I ate about an hour before the movie, which was intentional. But later that night, I made popcorn- much smaller amount, much less butter, but I made it.  I even had the nerve to not feel bad about it.

I wanna be like you when I grow up.
