I guess I am locked in...cause I just signed up for my first 5k!! I am nervous!...how far is a 5k again? I am soo NOT a runner but have been building up to it...

So I guess..add it to the lists of firsts for me since ive been on this island!!!!

Please guys, share your experience if you have done one!

It's 3.1 miles. I fast walked a 5k on a cruise ship recently and then signed up to do one on the 4th of July. I just plan on walking and maybe running a little bit. I haven't trained since I don't really plan on running it. Fast walking took me 40 minutes, btw.

That's great! I may never be able to run one but I walked my first one weekend before last. Took me about 45 minutes. I'm hooked! I have a 4 mile coming up in September.
