Whatcha Eating Today (Tues 6/26/12) VSGers??
Hi Pudgypants!! I get my PB2 at Market Street in Colleyville (almost across the street from Dr Kim's office). It is powdered peanut butter that only has 45 calories for 2 tablespoons. It is great added to chocolate shakes and many other recipes!!
I'm nearly 2.5 years out and I still drink 2 protein shakes a day as meal replacements. Also, since I'm in maintenance, it helps me be able to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables when I want them. My 2 shakes gives me 50 grams of protein daily.
Do you plan on attending Dr Kim's support groups? I am a firm believer in support whether it's on a great online site, such as this one, or in person. I havent been to the last 2 but I will be there in July.
Feel free to friend me and I will be more than happy to answer any questions I can!!

It just seems that y'all eat so little and mostly shakes....are you eating this little on purpose, or can you literally not eat more than that??? Can you explain to me?? Do you have to drink shakes all the time??? I don't think I want to spend the rest of my life drinking liquids instead of eating. I'm new to this and am having my surgery in December...I know I'll get more of an education about all of this, but I'm here to help educate myself from the actual folks that have done this. Thanks for all your help!!!!
Short answer, yes we are eating this little on purpose.
As a new post-op, it would be more difficult to get all my protein from food at this point, although I do think my stomach seems to have a larger capacity than some others on here.
I drink the shakes to keep my protein up, and because I like them
