Ok so I read these post all the time and I noticed that many of you have a protien shake for one of your meals. Do you all do that because you are getting all your protein in from foods? I havent done any of the shakes and I am wondering if i should be. I usually get my protein in everyday from my foods. Some of the shakes that you all have on here sound so good. I just couldnt stand them on the pre op diet. So i never really thought about them since.

Hi there,
I probably wouldn't be drinking shakes anymore but I found a couple that I LOVE!!!  My favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip.  Elise on here would post that she drank a mint cookie protein shake so I asked her about it.  OMG, I love it!!!  I even add a couple spoonfuls of Torani sugar free peppermint syrup just to add to the mint taste.  I love to blend it with ice and almond milk.  It tastes like a mint chocolate chip shake!!!  I also like using PB2 (powdered peanut butter) with chocolate or vanilla protein powder, also in the blender with almond milk & ice.  Tastes like a Peanut Butter Cup shake.  It certainly helps with any sweet tooth I may have.  Plus, they are easy & convenient to make.  I tend to workout in the evenings so drinking a high protein shake for dinner seems to be easier on my tummy when I want to workout about 1-1 1/2 hours after I drink it.
I hate to admit this, but those Premier RTD shakes that I drank immediately post-op would test my gag relfex.  If I never have to drink one of those shakes again, I'd die happy!!!  (Sorry to those of you who love it ... like JIMBO!)  It's just my personal preference.

I only drink them because I love them....otherwise I could easily get my protein from food sources.

Hi, I make my mint cookie shake with matrix mint cookie protein powder with 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk & ice in the blender.  I also like to add 2 tbspns of sugar free peppermint syrup to add more of a minty taste to it.

I found it online thru Amazon.  I just ordered my 2nd tub.  It costs $23.99 + $4 shipping.  So worth it!
