Great NSV this morning with Jenn - 9+ mile hike!
I almost wish I had pics of my dirty feet - i'm covered in dirt, but Jenn I headed out early this morning for a hike.
I had a really really rough out of control kind of day yesterday where I flooded my body with more carbs than.....well, more than i needed. So I had no idea what today would bring, but I found out pretty quick.
We started hiking, and kept going until we made it a little over 9 miles, with a lot of steep hills thrown in to keep us working hard. Im pretty sure I used all those extra carbs from yesterday's food fest. I can't help but stop and realize when I'm out hiking just how far I've come (and Jenn!) - it's such an amazing feeling to get to the half way point at 4.5 miles and realize we only have to turn around because we can't spend all day hiking and not because we are tired.
I used to dread having to walk across a parking lot. Now I can finish a 9 mile hike - we did it in 3 hours. So, even with a super horrible day yesterday, my reset button has been activated, and I'm ready to continue on.
My October half doesnt seem quite as scary when I realize I can easily walk all these miles now. LIttle does she know it, Jenn is secretely going to be training with me over the next 4 months or os and maybe I'll get her to finish the 1/2 with me :)

WWBD?
I read this earlier and got off my big arse and went to the gym and renewed my membership and set up personal training. If someone can lose over 200 pounds and walk 9 miles a year after surgery, I can get my big arse up and do something.
Thanks for inspiring. I feel guilty crying over having 60 pounds left when I see what you have conquered. Please don't stop posting!
