Hi Y'all! It's been a while... (pics)
Wow, it's been a while since I have been on here. This forum was my saving grace while I was losing and I will forever be grateful for all of the help and advice of everyone on here. It took me over a year to hit my goal weight. I had surgery on August 4, 2010. I finally saw my goal of 135 on Christmas Eve 2011. Merry Christmas to me! I hovered between 136-138 FOREVER!!! I hit 137 in July of last year and just could not get to that magical 135 number until December. I have continued to hover between 136-138 ever since then until about 1 1/2 months ago. I weigh every day (I have to, to keep myself in check). One morning I looked down and had gone from 136 to 134, I was like WHAT?!?! Awesome right? The next day I was still 134, next day 133, the next day 132 and then 2 days later 131. I'd been sitting at 131 for a little while until this morning, 130!!!! I really don't want to lose more and am definitely not trying (I would like to see a 12? on the scale at least once tho) I've bought a whole new wardrobe and don't really want to buy more. Everything is starting to get too big. I've gone from a 22/24/26 to a size 8 dress (because of my chest), size 6 skirt, size 4 pants and small to medium tops. I feel awesome!!!! I get catcalls. One really cute 20 something guy told me I looked delicious :) For a woman in her 40's, that is definitely a compliment! I feel like (and look like) a different person. This whole experience has been life altering. it has changed my whole outlook on life. I WANT TO LIVE MY LIFE! I don't want to just exist. I just wanted to put my story out there so maybe it can be an inspiration for the newbie's that think there is no light at the end of the tunnel or the ones that are on the fence. Keep going, do not give up! You will get there if you really want it! If I can be of help to anyone, please feel free to contact me. Have an awesome day!

Wow, you look great!!! Did you ever have a problem with lose skin?
Hi,
I had my surgery July 25, 2001. I have been bouncing between 138-142 for the past two months. I pretty much stay at 140. I recently posted whether or not to lose more, I have confliction about trying to get to 124 which would be exactly 100 pounds off from my surgery day weight. My highest weight was 238, so I am satisfied with the way I look. I wonder if I lose much more would I have the turkey neck, bat wings for my arms, etc. It is nice to see that two years out from your surgery date that you are maintaining your healthy weight. I am also 5'3" and I am 44 years old......it does feel good to have our new healthy bodies. It feels so good to not get winded when walking up a flight of stairs.
Thanks for your posting and you look great!
