Im glad you got the responses you did because it scared you a little and made you re-think. Stick to the plan without breaking the rules at least until your stomach has healed. Most people are still on liquids, possibly mushies. Also please consider the very real risk of a hernia or splitting incisions if you start lifting weights now. I believe I had to wait 45 days for that. Good luck!

I can't even begin to think of the number of things "that I have loved as long as I can remember" but I don't eat them anymore. Those things that I loved as long as I can remember is what got me to 390 lbs. I did try some chicken tenders once and it made me get the slimmies so I haven't had those since. Thank God for my sleeve not letting me eat this stuff anymore!
I sure hope that you learn to realize that there is NOTHING healthy at a Burger King .. or anything there that belongs in our diet when we are trying to loose weight .. let alone just 2 weeks out of surgery. You could have just as easily gone into a grocery store nearby and gotten some cottage cheese.
At first I thought this couldn't be real but if it is, I sure hope you can get on plan because eating 500 calorie lunches (and feeling good about it) is going to make you gain back the 23 pounds that you have lost so far or worse .. leak stomach contents into your abdomen.

1. The progression plan - Typically its two weeks clear liquids, two weeks full liquids, two weeks purees, then full foods. Foods should be introduced slowly to test tolerance. Think the way youd introduce foods to a baby just starting solid foods.
2. Food Choices - BURGER KING - REALLY? Did your surgeon provide absolutely no education? The sleeve is just a tool, not a cure for your obesity. You cannot just eat anything you want and lose weight. There is a woman in one of my support groups who had a surgeon like yours apparently. She had RNY and decided to live on snickers and ice cream. Shes curious why she isn't losing weight.
During the weight loss phase the most common diet is 600-800 calories per day, less than 40g of carbs. You must eat lean dense protein first, then non-starchy vegetables as you have room. No refined carbs until 75% excess body weight lost. That means bread, pasta, etc. The meat at BK does not fit this profile. No starchy vegetables, no fried food, until maintenance.
I am 7 months out and 14 lbs from goal. I havent even stepped foot into a fast food joint since October. I have not had a bite of red meat. I have had maybe 4 french fries the entire time.
Get yourself into a support group. You need to learn to develop a healthy relationship with food. If you went immediately back to eating the way you did before surgery, you were seriously miseducated about what is needed to make this successful in the long term. I regret that for you, but seriously take some of the pointers on here and get some good resources to re-educate yourself.

I have not had fast food since I had surgery. There is absolutely no way that pure GARBAGE is going in my body. I'm sure i'll have it again some day in the rest of my life...but right now, there's no place in my life for it. And I am very active. Id rather pick up a whole grain piece of bread, some fruits/veggies or a protein bar to fuel my active life style. My body is not going to be doing anything with the massive amounts of FAT in fast food.
And if you want a hernia, start lifting weights. The usual minimum time frame for any lifting is 6 weeks. Just think two words before you eat or exercise for a while - MAJOR SURGERY.
I hope your eyes are open. I'm very scared for you.

Also, I was not allowed ground meats for 60 days postop, and am STILL not cleared for regular beef, pork, corned beef, pastrami, ham until day 120.
I cannot even imagine trying to stuff a burger into my sleeve at week 2. I had a poached egg 3 weeks after surgery and I could barely fini****
PLEASE follow your surgeon's plan. If you don't have a plan, message me and I will send you mine. It is extremely detailed and pretty conservative.

You sure got an earful. Not without reason, mind you. Way too soon for a burger. Not so crazy for soft foods though.
My surgeon's protocol is clears for the first day post op, full liquids the rest of the first week, then soft foods for 3 weeks before getting the all clear for most things.
No calorie guidelines either. Just protein first and get a minimum of 60 grams. I was told pre-op that my surgeon's patients are averaging low 20's for BMI.
Definitely check in with your doc. Agree that it is too soon for weight lifting too. I stuck with walking the first few weeks and then went to water aerobics. You might not think those styrofoam dumbells will do much, but believe me they work.

Really probably is a guy that went to frigging Burger King, ordered a hamburger, ate the whole thing with the bun, used up about 90% of his caloric allowance for the day -- all at TWO WEEKS post surgery not realizing how he can cause mortal danger to himself.. No comprehension of danger or adherence to plan, etc. Had some fries too! Fantastic!!!!
Your understanding that you can eat whatever you want as long as you can tolerate it is wrong. (Speaking in the future when you're actually cleared for all foods).
One has to wonder what your daily caloric intake, protein intake, carb intake, and water intake is.
Still assuming you're not a troll and just really, really one of the most ill-prepared people, I don't think you're cleared to start lifting weights at two weeks either. The risk of hernia is really high still. I've not heard of anyone being cleared for weight lifting after two weeks.
At this rate, best case scenario is you lose 10 or 20% of the weight you want to lose.
Mid-case you don't lose any more weight.
Worse-case, you actually will figure out how to put on weight (quite possible) and/or injure your stomach and/or muscles.
If you are going to look into the mirror and say "my health is very important to me" you'd had better wake up very, very quickly for your sake. Your expectations are far off base.
