April Sleevers HOW ARE YOU DOING?
Had mine on 4/30 - feeling great, getting active. I have been a pretty slow loser (25.8 so far) and my doc suggested I visit my NUT. I'm not going to give numbers because some of the "high protein, low carb" posts that I am reading aren't even close to what my NUT told me, but she did have me increase my cal, carbs and fiber. I will go back to her in 1 month to see how I am doing, but so far loving the new numbers she gave me. No longer feel hungry, very satisfied and more full of energy. Already having other positive "effects" on me as well.
Hi there
I was sleeved April 30th, including the pre-op diet I'm down 51 pounds as of this past Monday.
I'm basically only eating protein, leans meats, cheeses, I've had a couple bites of brocolli but that's about it.
Exercise is something I've been working on, I need to be better with it too. I try and do at least 30 mins of something every day, and it's usually down the beach. I've recently tried to follow along to zumba videos on youtube, and it kicks my ass. I've also been looking for an aqua aerobics class in the area, and considering joining a women's gym a few minutes from my place... it's pretty pricey though.
I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and join, just trying to find a way to work it into my budget

I was sleeved on April 24th and have lost approximately 31 pounds from my start weight. I stay at my 800 calories a day and do get my protein in but don't get enough water and my exercise isn't what it should be right now. Right now I'm at twice a week for about 30-45 minutes each time. I do stay away from bread, pasta, rice and other carbs of that nature and am doing pretty good with my eating so I really think I'm doing pretty good. I'm trying hard with the water and exercise though. I would DIE at 12 miles a day!!!
I was sleeved on April 3 and adjust shy of 60 lbs down ( I think 58) . I eat pretty much everything except bread . I have had toast twice since the surgery . It just doesn't agree with me . I haven't added salads but everything else , even rice is ok for me . I do focus on protein and other than walking and staying active haven't been exercising . I do get close to 10 000 steps daily . My only real nasty issue is brutal constipation . I've actually started eating prunes lol
I was sleeved on 4/26 and LOVE IT! I have lost about 35lbs. From what I reaing I don't know if that's good or not. I have an appointment with my NUT next week to make sure I'm on track.
I still have a hard time with protein shakes but try to eat high protein meals (lots of meat) and some veggies. I'm staying away from the simple carbs but boy do I miss fruit!

I was sleeved on April 10. I am down 30 pounds since surgery and 51 pounds since I started the pre-op diet.
I'm a slower loser than a lot of you, but it's been steady. I have a lot of restriction and have no trouble staying around 800 calories a day and 80 grams of protein...though my NUT has told me I should be closer to 1,000. I don't really have a big issue with cravings, so I'm not super strict on limiting carbs, but 800 calories with 80 grams of protein doesn't leave much room for carbs anyway.
I CAN eat probably about anything, but I don't. I have tried salad, bread, rice, and pasta and had no problems, but I avoid them. I do occasionally have a bite or two of salad once I have all my protein in though. I have been very fortunate in that I haven't had any proplems, no slimies/foamies, no nausea, nothing. I really feel exactly the same as before surgery...I just can't eat much.
As for excerise, up till now, I've mostly done walking and Wii Fit. I am considering joining a gym...one will be opening very soon near my home. YAY!
