Was This Statement Wrong?

I made a comment yesterday on a post regarding a NEWS ARTICLE... My comment is at the bottom and I received an email form OH, not sure why b/c what I said wasn't bad... DO YOU THINK MY COMMENT WAS INAPPROPRITE?? The article was basically saying that Pre-Op patients should be warned about becoming an alcoholic after having WLS That the man in the article was an alcoholic and he was blaming it on WLS... REALLY

My message is currently:
I think that's BS... He has other issues. Having WLS doesn't turn you into a Alcoholic. I never drink but maybe once or twice a year, not planning to start now lol He just has issues that he probably never dealt with and he turned to drinking instead of food.

I received this email regarding a post that I made a comment too regarding a NEWS ARTICLE.. I did not say anything that was threatening, harassing, insulting, malicious or attacking a member personally rather than challenging a member's views or position in an appropriate and respectful way. I DO NOT APPRECIATE WHOM EVER SENT OUT THE EMAIL TO ME. THAT WAS MY OPINION AND IF SOMEONE DIDN'T LIKE MY COMMENT THEY NEED TO MOVE ON. IT WASN'T PERSONAL B/C IT WAS A NEWS ARTICLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Please contact me and let me know what was wrong with the statement/opinion that I made to the post. My post was unapproved and I think that was wrong. If you still believe I'm in the wrong please let me know why??

It sounds as if someone "mommy button reported" your comment.

You will more than likely never get a reply from OH staffers because they just send out the generic no no bad girl message and will not give you any direct response. You'll just tagged for heavy moderation if you pursue the issue.

Yeah, you're trying to live in the old America where free speech was a given. Now you live in the country of PC! How dare you point out the obvious! LOL! You basically said what several docotrs have said about this kind of surgery. When you remove one vice or excess in their life people often rely on another. I don't see it as an attack. But my PC filter is off and doesn't have an on switch.

You didn't do anything wrong, it is really hard to see what they could have been thinking.  I would just drop it and move on, nothing to gain here.  This was not a personal thing on your part or theirs.  I think they made a mistake in your case.  I bet they would even agree with my assessment.

I'd just leave it be. Fighting an autoresponse is like punching the air. You won't hit anything.

Keep contributing to the forum and ignore the complainers.

 Hang out with me more, I get at least one a week (although usually from the Band board, not this one LOL).
