I'm not to that point in my plan (3 weeks and days out) but when I did WW, I really liked the Jennie O turkey dogs.  I would put sauerkraut (which I fear my sleeve will hate) on them, a litle mustard, and eat w/out the bun.  They were not bad at all.

I'm more of a sausage girl, myself... I will occasionally eat a full-fat, Johnsonville Beef Hot Link if I can stand the sodium in my day.  I dont' worry about fat, and the calories actually aren't that high for me in maintenance (240 if you eat a whole 3oz hotlink)

I eat burgers pretty frequently, but I make them myself.  I use 90/10, organic grass-fed beef  that I doctor up, and I cook them to medium.  Part of the reason ground beef is tough on the sleeve is that it tneds to be cooked to well-done due to the possibility of E-coli.  I don't worry so much about that with locally sourced, organic, grass-fed beef and I will allow my burgers to be a little pink in the middle as a result.

OK!  This is by far the most entertaining subject I have read on here!!  You all have made my day and I'm glad to say I like a stupid old Oscar Meyer or the skinny chicken hot dogs & I like them BBQ'd on a bun with mustard & dill relish.  I'm a Californian that is currently stuck in Oregon, but a lot of people here like the German sausage ...  too much for me!!

I do miss me a hot dog!!  Should have had it before the pre-op cuz now I'm obviously going to be holding off for a while!!

Happy summer & I look forward to all of us getting the dog of our dreams!!!

I tried them this past weekend also because I was soooo excited after reading the NI someone posted on here last week. Grilled two on the George Foreman, dipped it in some mustard and took my first....and only...bite!  I didn't spit it out but I didn't finish the rest of the hot dog either.  It wasn't so much that the taste was bad but I couldn't get past the texture of it. The inside of it almost reminded me of that potted meat stuff...like it had been all ground up and then just stuffed inside that casing.  My dogs rather enjoyed them however!

I have been enjoying these Hebrew National Dogs for the last week--I really like them. But, I don't think they like me...I am going to quit eating them because they make my stomach bloat and give me awful gas. I don't know why? Boo.

I felt the same way when I tried them last week. Going back to the turkey dogs, close to regular texture and the taste isnt bad.

It's been months and months since I last had a hot dog (boiled! I'm not a fan of grilled dogs), and I saw some of these hot dogs at the grocery store, but passed them up. Too bad you didn't care for them! I was really hoping you'd rave about them being so delicious that they changed your life or something so I could justify buying them. LOL.
