"You need to stop losing weight"

So here's the brutal truth (about me as well as you): Your face probably does look gaunt. When we ask our bodies to lose substantial weight, they try first to take it off certain easy places (the face, the girls...) and keep it stored in the standard storage areas. The result: many of us, I'd even go so far as to say most, get sort of gaunt looking in the face well before we even reach a "normal" weight. That can be disconcerting - loved ones see that and judge our total loss by the appearance of our faces.
I'm told by a number of vets that it took another year or so after they finished losing for it to even back out a little but it does. I haven't got there yet, and yeah...my face looks a bit gaunt.
I explain this to concerned family members.
I'm a smart alek and can't seem to control my mouth so I tell them that "I'll stop losing when my head falls through my asshole" People don't quite know what to say after that...which makes me smile...

You must permanently change your lifestyle if you want your weight loss to be permanent. You can do it!
As the rapid weight loss slows down, your face will look less gaunt, as well as the rest of your body. I am almost two years out (wow) and over the past year, my fat has redistributed and I don't look as gaunt, nor are my bones poking out so much. Weight training has helped to add some muscle, which also helps. Even my tailbone isn't as sore, as it used to be.
