I'm going to the store in a few mins, can someone tell me what types of Quick Dinners they eat when on the run or at work when something isn't cooked??

Thanks

I only know 2 good frozen dinners.  They are Lean Cuisine...one is beef in brown gravy with broccoli and the other is turkey and gravy with green beans.  The turkey one is harder to find as they also make turkey with potatoes.

Other than that, greek yogurt, lunch meat and cheese, and canned tuna/chicken.

I don't know about any microwaveable dinners; I bring mainly lunch meat and cheese, or leftovers.

Try to Campbell Soups at hand..they are great for on the run and lunches. Also any meats (from the deli that are not processed and cheese heated in the microwave with Green Giant 4 oz packaged veggies are great with it too...

Hope it helps!

Avoid pre made dinners an quick dinners like lean cuisine etc.  they are not designed for bariatric diets.  You can use the tuna in a can sort of dinners, or just Cottage Chees or Greek yogurt.

I keep cans of chili in the house and Tyson Grilled Chicken Strips for quick meals. Tuna and lunch meat work too.

I tend to stay away from frozen dinners, because they usually have a lot of sodium and carbs. In addition, real food tastes better and has more nutritional value. For on the go, previous suggestions were good. Even deli meats are high in sodium and are very processed. I look for low sodium turkey.

My go to "quick" meal is actually deli meat.  I am on the road for work so if I am slammed or too busy I will just stop by a deli and buy 3 oz of meat (with a funny look) and go eat it.

My favs are the ones by Smithfield that are just meat in gravy. I can avoid the carbs and know that I am getting my protein. Also, since we have such tight restriction, you can freeze a lot of it and just take out the portion you want. One container is normally a week's worth of meals if I wanted to eat it every day! :o)

I don't do the microwaveable meals either- the carbs are too tempting!

For fast, no cook meals-

deli meat and cheese
beef jerky and cheese
plain greek yogurt and fruit
tuna
chicken salad
