I have to be honest, Derby is out for me! I went and watched a practice and the amount of people coming off the rink with injury's was enough to keep me away. Exercise and running has become too much a part of my life and is so wrapped up in my maintenance plan that the thought of an injury that would keep me off my feet for days (or weeks!), or something that could make it impossible for me to run in the future scares the crap out of me.

I still love going and watching the hot girls kick the crap out of each other, and I am going to get involved b/c our local team does amazing things for charity, but I am going to keep my knees and ankles safe from harm while I am there LOL

Wow, I hope you feel better! I had so much pain after my sleeve, I can't imagine a body lift. I watched one on TLC and I got sore jus****ching it. I think I will need a tummy tuck and boob lift when this is over, but don't if  I could handle it.
Good for you for being brave and doing it! Keep up undated on how you are doing!

Ruggie, you are my favorite poster on OH And I want to say congratulations on getting the surgery you needed/wanted to complete your successful journey. I know you are in a great deal of pain right now and I've heard a lot of stories about it. I know you can tough it out and peek at your new body for motivation to get through the painful times. Hopefully in a few weeks/month's time you will feel back to normal and happy! I always  hear people say the short term pain is worth the long term benefits and I know you are gonna feel that way!

Dear Ruggie

Waht a year you've had.  So sorry to hear you have had more pain than expected. Whats it gonna take to get that surgeon to losen up with the pain pills. But since you are an over-achiever type a and all that you will also have extra super excellent results because thats the way you are. so think about that when the pain is bad.

Many years ago i had some lower body lipo and there was a fair amount of pain. I remember going out to the grocery store after a week or so  in a pair of formerly tight jeans. It was windy and the thighs of those jeans were actually fluttering in the wind!!! thats when i knew it was worth it. you will be having those moments too.

Thanks for the kind words Diane. I don't think it's so much an issue of my surgeon as it is with me?  I'm taking a Percocet every three hours around the clock solid - I think it's my own pain tolerance?

Hi Ruggie,

Sorry that you are going through so much pain, but I'm sure that the end result will be worth it. Just have to go through hell to get to the other side. Here is hoping that each day will bring less pain and more ability to move.

I keep dragging my feet about plastics for reasons that you are going through at the current time.

Take care and sending positive energy and healing thoughts,

Gail
