How much sodium are you getting per day? What is your resting heart rate?

Flipping through the last month of my MFP log - range is from 1300-4000mg - the average seems to be around 2000 mg/day.

My resting HR is around 51-52.

Sodium is fine, but your resting heart rate should be 60 or above, if you are taking a beta blocker. 51-52 is low.

I so agree - dizziness is scary - falling can be catastrophic.  I hope everyone posts what they find out from their drs.  Curious ot know if this is a side effect of the VSG.

I have had the same issues - however, without the passing out (knock on wood). I've been in dialog with my PCP regarding my BP since about 2 months out. He reduced my BP meds by half and it got better, but now I've lost more weight and work out a lot (cardio usually 4-5 days per week, plus weight training 3 days per week). I was having mild dizziness today, especially when getting up out of my chair. Took my BP. It was 90/57. Can I please get off the meds????? Of course, when I go into the doctor's office it's always "high" - like 110/70.

Dehydrated, my ass! Did they give you kidney and liver function tests? Were the results normal? Keep on them. Sometimes the squeaky wheel......

I'm about ready to keep a daily log of my BP to give to my surgeon and PCP this month. You might want to do the same. Knowing how much you exercise and get in cardio work it wouldn't surprise me at all if you needed to reduce your BP meds.

Good luck with this. At least you know you're not alone!!!!

I was getting lighted and very dizzy all the time when I would bend down. A few times almost fell down because of it. During those times i was checking my blood pressure often and it was running very low , like 109/54 and similar reading.  My PCP has lowered my bp meds twice.  I take 1/4 of bp dose i had before surgery. When i went to lower dosage, I felt much better and i am not getting dizzy anymore.

i get dizzy when i look up high at something (like trying to reach something on the top cupboard) or tilt my head sideways (like to pick something up from under the bed).  i have an inner ear disorder.  get totally messed up from that, it's scary.

what about low blood sugar for some of you?

Mine has gotten to be more often lately. I notice when I stand up after being reclined/laying for awhile. I usually get the flushed feeling along with spins. I haven't passed out yet, though.
The last two PCP visits they've said my BP was low - which was never the case prior to surgery.

If you've come up with anything that helps minimize - I'd love to hear. LOL.
