Where do you get the cards for resturants after surgery?
My doctor gave me one when I had my surgery. I have used it several times. Really works for things like Mother's Day Brunches where they charge you $50 for brunch.

My doctor gave me one, I haven't ever had to use it though. No one ever asks why, I am just sure to tip well.

Honestly, I haven't even thought about using mine.
Here's my strategy for eating out:
-Hubby and I usually pick something to share that we can agree on... usually it's some kind of healthier protein (steak, grilled chicken or fish, etc).
-I let him pick the sides, since I can't eat much of them anyways.
-If he picks a salad, we'll each pick a dressing to request on the side, since he likes ranch, and I prefer vinaigrettes. I can only eat a few bites of salad anyways without filling up before my protein, so he gets most of it anyways.
-He lets me take whatever portion of the entree I want, and whatever is left is plenty for him, since I never take more than a fourth to a third of it anyways.
-I might eat 2-3 bites of whatever sides he picked, but only if I have room after my protein, which I usually don't.
This works well for us. No one ever questions why we are sharing a meal, and it gets rid of me having to order anything off the kids menu or a la carte... hubby was going to get that big ass entree anyways, so we end up saving even more money by doing it this way.
Plus, I agree with Smbergie... so many restaurants offer little to nothing on a kids menu that is sleeve friendly.
Doesn't hurt to have the card though, just in case.
