Excellent post Sassy!...and sooo true.  I like to shop (wardrobe comment is definitely true too) and garden and cook really cool stuff for my DH that I don't even have the slightest interest in eating, or do my own pedicure or work on my backyard projects (if I don't have one going - I start one).  I've found non-food related rewards to be so much more fun than the moment on the lips, forever on the hips...thanks for sharing.

Gardening in a bikini :) Middle age cliche, I know, but I went straight from doing that into the pool too cool off without having to go change, put on a coverup and take it off a milisecond before getting into the pool as I did when I was at my heaviest.

Agreed- shopping, buy yourself flowers, DOING something- movie, hike, pedi, soak in the tub.  I like to go browse the bookstore with a decaf.  I don't reward myself with junk food, but I will sometimes buy myself some really good cheese which is a treat to me now.  :)

awesome mention about buying quality food. i have to say, a good quality cheese/cheese plate is amazing.

One of the neat things about this surgery is how it can help us see that small quantities of good food are better than large quantites of cheap, processed stuff.  We can buy better things, fresher, organic, natural.. for the same or less than we were spending on crap.

My rewards are shopping, but I have also started planning trips.  Pictures are also something of a reminder and a reward.  I used to hate them - a lot - but now they help me and make me very happy.

Highly, highly, highly recommend!! I am buying a board in 6 weeks. It is so relaxing and good exercise. You can paddle out and then just lay on it and veg. I try and go every day I can, it totally clears the stress away.

They even have a paddleboard yoga class im going to do this week, yoga moves on your board!

You WILL do it!!!! Put it on that goal list and let me know when you have checked it off!

Great post Sassy !!!

I rewarded myself (for what I don't know) with a very expensive Skateboard !!! A Longboard Cruiser called a Landyahtz. At 350lbs. a Skateboard is not a good idea on many levels.......A 148lbs. it's great exercise/fun !!!!

On another note...... I'm in your homeland in a few weeks !!!!! Goin to Italy !!!!
