UPDATE!! 17 months post VSG, Move to the Caribbean, PICS! "I cant stop...
17 months post VSG, 8 months Post Plastic Surgery, I am making the most of this life i possibly can. Every single day. I am testing my self, my will, my physical strength. Every day.
VSG IS THE BEST DECISION I EVER MADE. It gave me a second chance at my life, which I will not waste.
Those of you who follow me know I moved in April to the Caribbean Island of St. Kitts for Vet School. It was a huge leap of faith. Just like having VSG was a huge leap of faith. But sometimes you have to take a risk to gain an amazing reward!
I am settling into my new life here perfectly. I am happy to be here, getting into the swing of classes and studying, and living the Kittitian life. I have met some amazing students, locals, and ex patriates who have helped make my time here awesome.
My number one goal besides passing these classes is keeping myself healthy and fit which means eating properly, healthy, and working out and beng active. I have an awesome Rastafarian friend who runs the gym here and we train together 5 days a week. He whoops my butt! Pics to follow in 6 weeks when im super cut! LOL. I buy fruits and veggies and bread from a local organic Rastafarian farmer. Everything here is organic and alot of it island grown.
I also take every opportunity to do things outside and explore away from my normal. There was one day I played soccer for 3 hours! I learned to paddle board at the most scenic place on earth, and it is part of my weekly routine. It works every muscle in your arms, your core, your legs. I snorkel, and joined the swim club that swims in the Caribbean Sea every week, and also SCUBA club- going to learn to dive!
I even did a Hash run- "a drinking club for people with a running problem" which is a hike/run through the terrain every month.I found myself swinging from a tree on the last hike!! I had beer poured on my head after the first Hash, to be indoctrinated. AWESOME!!!!
As far as showing my post-VSG body in a bathing suit often for all to see, im still self conscious, no matter how much I work out I will never be perfect. And my TT scar makes me self consious some times..But I am also pretty much the fittest B*tch at this school and on the island, so whatever!!!! LOL.
And in case you were wondering..Yea Im giving the men on the island a heart attack!!! i've built a mini fan club of students, locals, business owners, etc. Its good to have options, right? Ha! Suckers
I'm still Sassin em', even in the middle of no where,
xoxoxo Blessings, Friends!
