Update on hunger issues
The key to using a PPI is to take it about 30-60 minutes prior to eating.
Many scripts just say twice a day.....
But think of it this way and what it does and it's effective duration.
What it does "in general" is decrease the amount of stomach acid produced and released into your stomach/sleeve.
Stomach acids are triggered by the ingestion of food.
For instance......by the time you wake up......your previous dose of PPI is all wore off. So if you eat before your PPI.......stomach acids are released. Than you take your PPI......to late !!!
People commonly take their meds after food.....which is recommended for some drugs.
So to get maximum effectiveness from your PPI.....take it before you eat breakfast. Than again before you eat dinner.
