Unjury Unflavored Protein Powder rocks!
Thanks to all of you *****commended it. I tried the Unjury starter kit and ordered this before I decided on anything else, and it is wonderful.
Last night I added it to a couple of ounces of applesause--1/2 scoop of powder. At first I was horrified because there was so much powder in there but believe it or not, it stirred right in and the applesauce tasted great. 10 grams of protein, in applesauce. Now that's easy when I didn't really want another vanilla shake (all I have in the house right now).
Just now I added 1/2 scoop to 2 ounces of Taco Bueno refried beans. Again, the amount of powder worried me. Again, it stirred right in. The beans seemed a bit too thick then (they are already very thick) so I added a few drops of water and everything was delcious. That made 18 grams of proteins, since the beans had 8. (I prefer Taco Bueno to Taco Bell because Taco Bueno cooks their beans every day, real beans, whereas Taco Bell just uses powdered beans and adds water. Still tastes good, though!)
This unflavored powder that I can add to virtually anything is going to be a huge help!

Louisamay, I just want to add a word of caution, though you might not have the same issue as I did. Unjury is a wonderful way to boost your protein intake. However, when I was on the liquid pre-op diet, I used lots of Unjury the first 2-3 days, putting it in greek yogurt and creamed soups, and ended up with horrible, spontaneous runs. Before you use too much, you might want to see how well you tolerate the protein. I used what I had left over of the Unjury later, but more sporadically, and had no problems.

If you find you are using a lot of it (I use unflavored almost exclusively, unless I'm looking for a "treat").. try others too, some are better tasting (? as far as unflavored), or mix better, or are a little more tolerant of being heated..
I've used Unjury, Syntrax Medical unflavored, and now I've been using NOW unflavored Whey Isolate as it mixes great, seems to take heat a bit better (protein coffee) and it's also cheaper, and avail in big bags if you see yourself on it for a long time, I love my shakes and protein creations so this is a lifelong thing for me.. I get it from Netrition. Soon I'm going to start branching out into grain-free baking, and will be playing with protein powders in addn to nut flours.

I used the chicken flavor in broth, and they are serious about the temp (130?), after that it curdles.. I liked my soup hot.. still edible, but not yummy lol.
On the protein hot drinks like chocolate or coffee.. the trick is to mix it with a small amount of room temp fluid, then pour the screaming hot coffee/whatever very slowly into the cooler stuff while stirring.. a bit at a time until it's warm, then dump the rest in.. some just seem to take less heat before curdles start..
