I'm self pay. My doctor service includes 90 days post op.  in other words, I'm covered for complications for 90 days in my payment plan.  I used a local doctor, Avara, in Pascagoula Mississippi.

I'm doing the same as you...I was going to Mexico but decided I felt better if I was at home. I am pre-op and working on loans now. I'm worried about this too, but I think its worth the risk. I am only 20 so its a big deal for me to take out a loan...and not that I'm not being careful but I figure the benefits out weigh the risks. I think there are very little complications and as far as hernias or pollips my Dr is testing for all that before I go under. Talk to your Dr and be honest. But I think if you take all the precautions for surgery before hand there isn't much that can go wrong. Good luck
