Yes, it really felt like hunger. I don't have any hunger feelings now. I just eat to get my nourishment. I'll say a prayer for you.

Hey Melly,

I had that, my 4th week was the worst week in terms of hunger.  there was white knuckling and tears and the "what have i dones" it stayed around for 2 very long weeks where i thought i had made the worst mistake of my life, then it passed and hasn't come back 9 months out.  Folks on her suggested upping the PPi  and such didn't help me.  I still don't have a lot of hunger but i know when it's time to eat. I have to admit that i miss the band for the hunger control.  Sure there were days that i couldn't get much in and was sliming but there were also days when i had a muffin and latte, or french fries and that is all i had all day.  Giving up whole food groups is trying and also the hunger thing.  /but that real hunger gnaw did go away and stayed away.  wishing the same for you.

Ah, I totally relate....the band had its positive points, but I know the sleeve will be much better for me.  So glad the hunger got better for you.

I have had hunger since early out also . I wait 60 minutes if I can to drink it seems to make me feel full longer.. Mine is NOT acid I take a PPI... It is true hunger.. Not all of us lose it.. But when I do eat I am satified with much less food.

You have been doing well.  Hope to break my stall and do well, also.  I do get full quickly, just hate it when I get so hungry an hour later.

I have WAY more "head" hunger then "true" hunger.  In fact since being obese most of my life if I've already EATEN food and my stomach is full then how can I be "truly" hungry.  Yet occassionally I get the gurgles etc and FEEL like I could eat and eat and eat.  Of course being a former fat girl it's KNAWING to feel like that.  Fortunately for me a couple days on my acid blocker and my acid subsides BUT in additon I have found that, in addition to my morning pill, if I chew a tums after I eat it's like the heavens open up and angels sing.

That's some great advice!!  Thanks, Ms. Shell!!    This soon-to-be former fatty, wants to do everything she can to help her journey as easy as possible....as, we all know head hunger DOES exist, and if it is paired with real hunger, it's so hard to stay good!
