I was on omeprezol the first month, then started taking OTC  omeprezol.  You give me hope.... I don't want to fight hunger, it makes this journey very hard.

The mental aspect of being hungry for 3 months, not feeling full, and not knowing when to stop eating has been a trip!

I've eaten the minimum of everything for 3 months now, I'm just now starting to have the full feeling.  I think thats why I've lost 57 lbs so far.

Luckily I haven't thrown up yet though so that is nice.

Thanks@ You are doing great as well.  Just got to get through the mental side of it.  Sounds like you had to with the band as well so I'm sure you've got this!

I'm on protonix rx and it has helped me immensely. I was getting all of that gurgling and stuff which I thought was hunger, but it was acid.

So, it really felt like hunger?  I am hoping that's it.  Thanks!

My surgery was 4-2-12.  I get very hungry if I don' t eat every two hours, it's almost uncomfortable.  I thought some of the hunger was going to go away after surgery , but it didn't for me.  Still get hunger pains.

So, you are in the same boat as me.  Are you taking an acid reducer?

I believe your hunger is coming from the acid.  I always took my acid reducer in the morning and then in the late afternoon.  I would try it twice a day and see if there is an improvement.
