Got caught out w/o protein!
My first thought was to drive through Sonic and get a diet cherry limeade. No, that's not protein, but I already had a bottle of water and just wanted some flavor. My friend LOVES Sonic's diet limeades.
One tiny sip, and I was startled. Was it carbonated? I wasn't sure. I thought it might be but didn't want to keep drinking to find out. I called my friend. She said, "I'm sure it's not."
I took another sip and I still think it was carbonated. I stopped, and even after only two tiny sips I felt a lot of discomfort. I started sipping water and poured out the limeade.
First question: Does anybody know for sure it's carbonated or not?
Next, I went in Smoothie King and got a Gladiator. Good news, 45 grams of protein, I'm saved!
Potential bad news? I tasted some itsy bitsy seeds (maybe?) in it and hope that isn't a prob for my 11 day old sleeve. Time has passed w/o prob so I assume it's okay. I got vanilla powder with acai and blueberry and the guy said the acai and blueberry weren't real fruit....
BAD news. OMG, I had no idea. Almost 500 calories!

At first I always carried a little cooler with me. I usually had a RTD protein drink, maybe some cheese or lunchmeat or a few bites of chicken, etc. And I still do that now, but I always have a Quest bar in my glove box. I feel like I have to be much better prepared than I ever did before and usually I am!
