2- We wouldn't want others (newbs) to think it's OK to buy their WL foods at McD's.....do we?

You know Traci, the sad thing is the righteous don't even see how ****** up they are.  they got this.  Every answer for every person and everyone's journey is the same, add to that no one can make their own mistakes, even if they are folks that have to see for themselves.  I really love how you are being told that you are stopping people from posting what they want to say.  You are the bully for not bringing your foot down on the poster's neck.  SMH.  Here's the thing folks, don't post anything here that doesn't fit in with the way the majority thinks it should be done. Be afraid, be very afraid. There used to be a poster here who ate most of her meals at fast food places.  she had good restriction but the word she got from her surgeon was eat what you want, the sleeve will take care of the amount and that was what she did.  she was one person who did not get ganged up on but by the time i started reading the board, she was in maintenance, had lost over 100lbs in a six month period and was eating as she always ate, just less.  there where others along the way but they got drowned out and run off. Califsleevin' still plugs on despite his, good carbs beliefs and there are a few more.  I don't know i guess it would be like posting on a Evangelical Christian board and not being a Christian. It's too bad because in some ways the people who try to forge their own paths are probably the ones who could best use some of the excellent advise on this board.

I don't even think I can keep reading this thread. Is a ******g bagel THAT serious? I see people a month or 2 out acting like this girl ruined her life over this situation and some people acting like she's going to gain every pound back because she's starting down a path of self destruction. Yes, not everyone loses 100% EWL. I honestly don't ever plan to get to 150 pounds (100% EWL.) I will be happy at 180. That's definitely doable. Some of the people talking about that they lost 100% EWL only had 100 pounds to lose anyway. **** I've almost done that in 4 1/2 months.Don't give me that **** about light weights lose slower because they reach goal in 6 months a lot of times. Try being super sized and losing 100% EW. Let's talk about JIMBO! Now that right there is some serious **** There ARE people here who have lost serious weight and ate a ******g bagel. Don't let those "vets" make you believe they never ate anything "off plan." That's some bull**** I'm tired of the OH Nazi's. "The plan" is not a standard plan, it comes from Dr. Cirangle.

If you would have asked me I would have said take off the top bread, tear off a quarter of the bottom and stack on as much of the egg and meat as you could and eat it that way.

And who the **** are these people 2 minutes out being so self righteous???

No offense but if you think all this fuss was just over eating one bagel on one day .. then you missed the whole point of everyone's posts.  it was not about the bagel or the food.  it went far deeper then that.

Any time someone starts their sentence with "no offense" they are giving themselves a pass to be offensive ;)

I said "acting like she's going to gain every pound back because she's starting down a path of self destruction." I know exactly what the post was about and I read every single word and every single point. I, however, understand that there's not 1 person here that never "cheated" and justified with some kind of reason in their head. Mind you, staying "on track" still doesn't mean you'll lose 100% of your weight ESPECIALLY if you're a heavy weight. I just love how people want to get on someone's ass for posting about stuff like this when no one else comes out of the closet when their ass sneaks a cookie or a glass of wine or something with some damn carbs in it. It will happen to you one day if it hasn't already and when it does, just realize that it's because of a crazy and horrible, deep issue that you must immediately seek treatment for otherwise you are doomed forever and you will never make goal and you may quite possibly die right on the spot!!! If you haven't "cheated" yet, you will regardless of whether you come here to admit it or not.

Stop it with the self righteousness. Your posts are filled with it. You aren't even far enough out to have gained that right.

Never claimed to be self righteousness and since you read every word you might even recall when I admitted to slipping up myself.  Point being though I admitted it, learned from it and moved on unlike the OP who justified it and gave it to her as a reward.  Somehow I dont think its a good idea to tell all the new folks to run out to McD's when they get a little urge and neither did quite a few other people.

Also, how far along someone is has nothing to do with how motivated they are, their intellect or how willing to sacrifice to get what they want.  Thanks so much for your input though.

You saying you aren't self righteous but saying you slipped up but when you did it it was ok and when she did it it wasn't and your reasons for it were ok and hers weren't.... come on dude. Just because you think that some people here are baby Jesus and their way of doing things are perfect doesn't mean everyone has to do things that way. Like I said, there are actually people who have done well using moderation and "statistics" are skewed and when people spit out that word with no numbers everyone just believes it and even if they did use numbers, without real studies they wouldn't mean anything.

Who said anything about intellect?

Anyway this convo has officially reached POINTLESS.

Thanks so much for YOUR input ;)

Traci, I've got a large handful of sleeved friends who thought just like the OP and they never made goal.  They thought they could just have bits of their favorite foods and it would be okay.  Well it wasn't because while we're all so restricted in the beginning, that starts to wear off and quantities do increase.  That's just the way it is...period.  And those types of processed foods go down easier and easier as time goes on.  It is just best not to have them at all during the losing phase and them approach them very cautiously during maintenance if at all.  Just sayin'...

Actually, my comment is irrelevent and absolutely irreverent. But when I read your line, "...and deal with those rather than feeding them," the first thing that popped into my mind was the Scottish guy from the new Scott's lawn products saying, "Feed your lawn....feed it!"

(I shall now quietly return to work.)
