Unfortunately I must report that my early stall lasted over 3 weeks.

The good news, it didn't hurt my overall loss. The bad news, it about drove me around the bend.

Hugs. I feel you, but it will break. It will!

There are technical reason for the stalls that have nothing to do with what you are doing. The body only burns one kind of fat during weight loss, but first it must store water to make this fat. Then you burn some of the fat off, and then the body stores more water to make more fat, and so on and so on. This is never explained to people and drives them CRAZY. You are doing exactly the right things, just allow your body to burn the fat in it's own time and it's own way. And don't get into exercising other than walking and gentle aerobics for the first three months while your stomach heals. The penalty for ripping your staple line or causing a leak is a trip to hell.

My stall lasted 16 days, and then I woke up the next morning and I had lost a whole pound. I have lost 2 1/2 pounds since Sunday, and it's only Tuesday.

I understand exactly how you feel because I was just there a few days ago. It'll break. Just keep pushing, and don't let it bother you, because you're doing great.

Peeches -   My first stall just about sent me around the bend even though I knew it was coming from reading this site...it just came a little sooner than I expected (9 days out) and lasted longer than I expected (2+ weeks).  Just hang in there and keep doing your thing.  It will pass.  Try not to let it mess with your head  ( I know, easier said than done!)

Giiiiiiirrrrrl!!!!! I am having the SAME issue!! I lost 15 lbs right off the bat after surgery!! Then these last 2 weeks I have been STUCK - like GLUE!! I am SO irritated!! I was so hoping this would just keep going so I could feel good right away!! But I am hanging in there because of all the wonderful people here on OH! I love it here and without all of their encouragement and words of advice I wouldn't even believe this is real!!

Hang in there for me and I will hang in there for you!! I just keep telling myself there is NO way I could not be losing weight with as little as I am eating every day!! NO WAY!! So I mentally am trying to understand that it has to come off eventually. I think it just stinks cause we see all the posts on here and want that to be us!!

But guess what - IT WILL!! Oh yeah!!

Take care :)
