 jbeanrn,

How many MG does that give you if you take 4 total?  They told me I need 1500mg They sent me a sample of the 4 kinds they had I think it was lemon, choc, berry and some other.  I really didn't look into it b/c I thought I had what I needed, is it a lot of calories or fat/sugar to take 4 or a couple more like 6 or 7 if needed to make a total of 1500mg???

Thanks a bunch!

Double check the serving of your Petites...one pill=200mg calcium. So if you want 1600mg, you need 8 and if you cut in half, you are taking 16. But at this point, honestly, I wouldn't aim for the full dose. Start small and get in a few pills. Some is better than none and try to add in an additional pill a day with the goal to be up to full vites at 1 month. and you shouldn't be taking them all at once anyways, 400mg every 2-3 hrs. Your body can't absorp 1600mg of calcium in one swoop.

If the vites are making you gag, make sure there is something in your stomach. I tend to take mine with a protein shake. and here's the thing: no one said you have to LOVE it, you just need it to do it. Are you also adding a B12? Most of us need that too.

It will get better. I promise.

These?

If so, 2 tabs=400mg.

I know others have liked this and you may be able to find it at Costco.

Early on, I used those chews from Bariatric Advantage but then switched to the Citracal because I didn't want extra carbs/cals.

2 Calcium
and Nexium Granules as needed

I take the top 4 at night

Bariatric Fusion (http://www.bariatricfusion.com/supplement.php) chewables have everything you need (including calcium). I chew four a day--two AM, two PM. Plus a sublingual B12 every morning. (And then a daily capsule of Prilosec, and 3x daily reglan crushed (BLECH!).

You say Liquid but then you say tab... Is it liquid or chewable tab??

Tab in this instance meant tablespoon. I think most, if not all, of the wellesse brand are liquid. You may be able to request samples from them or your surgeon.

Dare to believe that this time will be different. You can succeed this time.

No need to stress, just take what you can, liquids are the most important thing for the first couple of weeks anyway. I found out that those big calcium pills dissolve easily in warm broth, then you just drink it down. Your body isn't going to shrivel up and die without all the protein and vitamins, but it WILL without liquid, so concentrate on getting enough liquid in. You will be able to tolerate those tastes later on, so don't throw them away. Good luck, you will be fine. this is the worst period for most, and it gets better from here.
