OK so I'm 7 days post-op and I started taking my Vit yesterday.  The Nurse at the Hosp told me I could wait a week and then start so I didn't get stressed out, well I AM STRESSED OUT!! I have a total of 16 pills to take that all includes breaking some in half to get in b/c I'm not suppose to take anything bigger than a reg. M&M  Well the first problem I have is I bought CENTRUM CHEWABLES ORANGE FLAVOR I tried one b4 surgery and was like yeah its not great but I can eat those, well now I cant they are making me GAG Please someone tell me of another kind that has all 100% of the things we need for being Sleeved??????  Nut told me Flintstones but I don't think they have all of the "Thiamin" in them.

Second problem I have is the CALCIUM CITRATE PILLS I cant find any "SMALL" pills I bought the Calcium Citrate "PETITES" and I was cutting them in half but Doc. Nurse said they are still to big to be taking even if I cut them in half so it winds up being 1600mg 400mg a pill. So just in those I'm taking 8 and I cant take them all at once... I cant do those chewable tabs they just taste like chalk, PLEASE SOMEONE SOLVE MY PROBLEM AND LET ME KNOW SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAT WORKS I FEEL LIKE CRYING THIS IS SO STRESSING ME OUT!

Thanks Jennifer

 Khessmd,

I don't mind the taste but these vitamins are what is keeping me alive so to be quite honest .. I would drink it if it tastes like cough medicine or worse.  I know taste is more important to others however.  I could only suggest to try it and see.

I've been using the same bottle of multivitamin for 3 months now .. its only 1 capful mixed with 2 oz of water.  The calcium will go much faster since I use 3 caps of that each day.

I do 1 capful of the multivitamin with iron, 3 capfuls of the calcium (yes you can take iron and calcium together with this product because its isotonic and goes directly into the cell) and 1 capful of the OPC-3 (antioxidant.)

I mix them all together in one glass.  5 capfuls = 10 oz of water.

The vitamin and calcium I think i paid about $18 for each.  The OPC-3 is much more expensive then the other 2 but I like it.

You might like these better if you didn't mix them together and drank them separately but i don't mind i just mix it all together.

Hope you find something that you like!  I just like the fact that this product is Isotonic (like IV fluids) and its rapidly absorbed by the body and very little is wasted or unabsorbed.

Labs drawn last month and everything was good except for my cholesterol.  They took me off my Rx medicine for that post op.  Hopefully as I loose more weight it will come back down.

I use the nutraMetrix too (you must have had Nancy as your NUT). The vitamins are much easier to take this way. As a mom of 3 and working full time I don't have time to cut pills and count protein at the same time!

yeah...I just went to Fruitful Yield and told bought liquid multi vits and a liquid calcium citrate....
FYI.....I would NOT get the garden of Eden Raw of the multi....it is WAY strong and horrific tasting..........nasty.

but get liquid...you can add them to water, protein...whatever. Save the ones that you have now for down the road when you are better healed..

I am iron deficient so I take an additional iron capsule with this. (Im still pre-op) Also, I am Vitamin D deficient so I take extra of that as well. **There is NOT enuff calcium in here so.....2hours after taking this..(iron and calcium must be taken separately by minimum of 2 hrs).....I take this:

**notice that these numbers are for 4 wafers.

keep in mind that everyones needs are different....please check with your doc. to make sure these levels are good for you.

hope this helps....if you tald to the people at the vitamin shop....they are usually pretty helpful...just tell them what your needs are that you must meet.
