I know that my period is going to show up any time now.  Yesterday, I wa**** with some PMS food binging craves like no other!!  I am spanking myself, because I did give in way more than I should have!!  ARGH!

I am on soft proteins and foods right now, so I know that what I did consume didn't hurt my sleeve, but last time I checked Reese's Peanut Butter Cups was NOT on my food plan!!  I have been doing soooooo well until yesterday.

I don't think I have felt much if at all true hunger pains since my surgery, but yesterday I was RAVENOUS.  Anyone go through that in PMS?

Okay, I had my day of falling off of the wagon.  I planned ahead today, brought extra protein shake mix (peanut butter chocolate ), just in case that wave of hormone****s again.  I WILL succeed and I am not going to let my period interfere!!

Oh Melly! Lol, get those things out of the house!! Lol... I feel you on this one! I was just in the store and had a bag of the "sugar free" ones in my hand for a min before I realized they were still never going to be "healthy food" no matter how hard I wished! They just haven't invented it yet..

I get these cravings pretty bad, the only time I really like or want chocolate or sweets- so I got a box of the Oh Yeah Peanut Butter Cup protein wafers.. it totally does it for me. They are wonderful. I have 1.. ONE stick.. I want the other, but it goes away for another day.. and it fits my plan.. two would too, but I find one scratches the itch. 1 stick has 105 cals/4carb/7protein.. and a moderate amount of fat so it tastes good and is really satisfying.

LOL I don't have that stuff in the house.......I was at work and ran to the vending machine.  I am not supposed to have any kind of nuts or anything crunchy this early out, so I was like, "Hmmmm, OH!  Reese's, those are not crunchy, they are soft and creamy."  Uhhh....the tricks we play on ourselves.

Great idea with having some Oh Yeah! around.  Those protein bars are VERY good.  I will definitely buy one to have in an emergency again!!

My plan today is to just beat back my urges and win over my hormones!!  ha ha

You go girl!! I had my lady bug the week after surgery - so the second I got out I felt like I was craving everything under the sun!! It was REALLY hard but I got through it. You are SO smart to bring what works for you - that will help out TREMENDOUSLY!! I also believe in letting yourself have a reeses peanut butter cup. One won't hurt. But one every hour could

But in the words of a friend, at least we blow it on a 500 calorie a day diet and not a 1500 one!!!

Hope that puts it in perspective!!

Have a GREAT day

A week after surgery!?  Yikes!!  So, when you aren't PMSing, do you feel pretty good and do the cravings go away?

Very true....when I was beating myself up last night, I calmly thought about how I only had about 100 calories for lunch (half of a grilled tilapia filet from Long John Silvers), so it couldn't have been THAT much damage, but yep, up a pound today.  ARGH.  Live and learn!!   Have a great day!

Yes it was hard but I also knew I couldn't eat anything even if I wanted to! LOL! But - I didn't gain weight, I just got really bloated and EVERYTHING stopped. My happiness, my weight loss, my feeling good, etc. But I just had to tell myself it was hormones and it was only temporary. I talked to a very good friend of mine (same one who told me about the blowing it not being as bad) and she said she NEVER lost during that week of the month. Sucks, but I guess we can manage with the other 3 weeks rockin' it!!

And yes!! As SOON as I was done, I felt like I should have felt. My bloating went away, I was happier, wanted to leave the house, and eat right! Not only eat right, I wasn't even hungry!! A week later, and I still feel a lot better!!

Hang in there girl!! Just know it's the journey we are on and nothing will happen overnight!!

And never get on a scale during your PMS or lady bug time giiiiiiiiirl!!  It will make you crazy

Have a GREAT day!! Keep rockin' your smart smoothies! Set  yourself up for a win!!
