Anyone have surgery with Dr Aceves?

Last week I couldn't decide if I should have surgery with Dr. Alvarez or Dr Joya?  Than I got some feedback about Dr Aceves whom I didn't hear much about before this.   Would anyone be willing to talk to me via phone that has had their VSG by Dr Aceves?  That way I can make the my decision between the three doctors.  So far I'd be leaning towards Dr Alvarez but now I don't know as someone else messaged me that was going with him and than later heard he had a bad review mentioned on another website.  I still haven't seen that review so it's hearsay.  I've only really seen good reviews on him.

I don't know if this is relevant or not..but Dr. Aceves sounds like a great surgeon! I have done A TON of research as I will be going to Mexico as well, and have not found one bad thing about him. I would go to him if I had a bit more money (I know you shouldn't base it on money but it really is a factor to some of us) Dr. Jaime Ponce de Leon is a *****eaper but highly recommended as well. Dr. Ortiz, also would be my choice, but there he is a bit more that Dr. Ponce. And what is the cost difference? To me I think its the surroundings etc and Im fine with what I have decided on. I have talked to two people who basically just got back from Dr. Ponce and loved him and his facility. That made me feel a bit better. Plus I just did up a list of questions that I wanted answers to and emailed them down there. I got back all the responses I was hoping for and am feeling really good about my decision. With what I will be paying, I wont have to finance any of it and thats a huge deal to me (the higher ones I would have too and I dont really want to). I will save the financing for plastics if I need. Good luck with your decision, I know its not easy.

I went to Dr. Aceves as well. I researched extensively before I chose a Doctor and never found one negative thing about him. It all sounded too good to be true, but he and his staff are wonderful, and I would highly recommend him. If you need another person to call, PM me and you can have my number too. I was sleeved by Aceves on March 23, 2012.  I was 100% satisfied with the hospital, doctors, and staff.  The hospital was the cleanest hospital I have ever been in.  I would highly recommend Dr.Aceves and his staff.  It was a little more $$ but it was worth the peace of mind.  I could even use my cell phone from the hospital because it is so close to the US border.  If you choose Dr. Aceves you will NOT be sorry!  Best of Luck!
