To Dr. Guillermo Alvarez patients: Sleeve size question.

Hi Everyone, I am learning from reading that no two sleeves are alike in size. Some have commented that sleeve size depends on your size as well as the surgeons skills. I have learned some are able to eat more than others.
I'm thinking of having my surgery done by Dr Guillermo Alvarez in Mexico. Do you feel your sleeve size is nice and tight? I understand from his video he uses the 32F Bougie. This is standard I'm assuming.

HW 302 lbs. SW 279.8 lbs. CW 193.8 lbs MFP Jarabacoagirl Preop diets 22.2 lbs, 1st month 21.2 lbs, 2nd month 14.6 lbs, 3rd month 11.2 lbs, 4th month 7 lbs, 5th month 7 lbs, 6th month 6.8 lbs, 7th month 5.2 lbs, 8th month 4.4 lbs 9 and 10th months slowed down didn't record exactly

108.2 lbs lost from highest weight!

(86.2 lbs of that was lost since surgery date)

Consider Aceves, too. Similar price, excellent experience and tight sleeves.

I have heard wonderful things about both doctor Alvarez and Dr. Aceves. I believe that they both do tight sleeves. If I had to go to Mexico, I would choose between those two doctors.

Hi! I went to dr Aceves and would Definitely recommend him! He's amazing!!! He uses a 36 bougie and over sews it so it's more the size of a 34 when he's done. Research him!

he's the best!

Hi there, Just back from Alvarez. He is so amazing. very easy process. he did tight sew on me w 32 bougie. i am still full liquids so dont know about solids. can't recommend him enough.

I had my sleeve done in October of 2009 by Dr. Alvaraz. He IS WONDERFUL! From start to finish! Very knowlegable, very helpful and we still communicate. I had a pregnancy about a year out of my surgery and was really nervous about it (was a completely unplanned thing)! He and Susan answered every question I had, as well as Susan got me in contact with another patient that had gone through the same thing so we could connect! I can't sing enough praises for him! I was a self pay as well, my surgery was $12,500 (I had to pay a bit more because I was so overweight ..I was at 370). I've had no issues, nothing! My pregnancy went beautifully and I am down 160 pounds. :) Hope that helps.
